BLACKPINK’s dance performance video for their 2020 single “How You Like That” has hit the billion mark on YouTube. The choreography workout music video is the K-pop superstar girl group’s sixth visual to cross the bar, joining their other billie club visuals for “As If It’s Your Last,” “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU.
And first, the dance video “How You Like That” joins the song’s official music video, which also broke the record for fastest K-pop girl group video to reach the billion mark. views. The song was released in June 2020 as the lead single from the band’s first full studio collection, The scrapbook.
In the dance version, Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé – all dressed in black shorts and half-shirts – do a series of coordinated, hip-pop moves over a pink-hued soundstage to the bilingual dance song influenced by the hip-hop as they sing, “Now look at you, now look at me, look at you, now look at me/ Look at you, now look at me, how do you like it?/ Now look at you, now look- Me, look at you, look at me now / Look at you, look at me now, how you like it? »
The song’s official music video is more elaborate, with women dressed in formal, sparkly shorts and matching tops dancing to a series of lush backdrops filled with flowers and a forest of umbrellas. The quartet celebrated the momentous occasion on Instagram, with a message trumpeting the showy numbers in large print.
