This is their fifth video to achieve this milestone. “Fake Love” joins the billion-view club alongside four other singles they’ve released in recent years: “Dynamite”, “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, “DNA” and “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) “. the billion views mark before “Fake Love”.

“Fake Love” was also a huge hit on the charts. The single reached No. 1 on the Billboard K-Pop 100 and spent a total of 56 weeks on the chart after its release in 2018. The song also made its way to the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 10 in June of that year, spending six weeks on the chart.

The news of “Fake Love” reaching 1 billion views comes days after BTS officially became a member of the 2022 Guinness World Records Hall of Fame thanks to their impressive – and long – list of achievements. The Bangtan Boys were inducted into the Hall of Fame for becoming the most listened to group on Spotify, the most followed group on Instagram and the most Twitter engagements for any artist, in addition to 20 other achievements.
