“Guilty” by Karol G and Anuel AA exceeds one billion views on YouTube

Karl G. and Anuel AA have both landed their fourth entry into YouTube’s Billion Views Club as their 2018 collaboration “Culpables” tops the mark after racking up views over the past four years.

“Guilty” joins Karol G’s older version “Tusa,” which features Nicki Minaj, and Anuel AA’s appearance on “BEBE.” This is the third duo together, joining their previous collaborations “China” and “Secreto”.

“The most amazing thing about this project is that many people tell me: Why work with Anuel? Obviously, I respect the expression of the different artists. I don’t judge or criticize anyone’s style. I represent and defend my style,” said Karol G Billboard when the video first arrived in September 2018. “What I love about ‘Culpables’ is that it’s a completely clean song. We don’t say anything bad about women or men. The song is clean. He has no bad words.

Speaking about the video, she added, “What I like about the video is that it preserves the message of the song. The director has achieved a very clean image of the two of us. For Anuel AA, the highlight was “that the video shows another image of me, which was not to be the bad guy.”

‘Culpables’ lands on Karol G’s second studio album Ocean. The project included collaborations with Anuel AA, J Balvin, Maluma, Yandel, Damian Marley and Nicky Jam. The song was one of five singles, joining “Pineapple”, “Mi Cama”, “Créeme” and “Punto G.”

“My challenge with this album was to show people that I’m not just [being sexual] to succeed,” said Karol G rolling stone of Ocean in 2019. “It’s me saying, ‘Miren pa’ que hablen.’ (Listen, here’s something to say.) And if they keep talking, there’s not much more I can do.
